If you’re someone affected by the platform’s definition of what they’re going to be banning, I strongly suggest you back up your Tumblr blog. RIGHT NOW. Info on how to do that is here.

I can’t think why my own Tumblr would be affected, but I’ll be backing things up too… because in situations like this one might expect the algorithm to get a little out of hand and make mistakes that one might or might not be able to recover from. (See this article.)

For safety’s sake – because I’d very much dislike losing the content I’ve shared with other people here – I’l be embodying my Tumblr content in a new Wordpress blog over the coming days. I’ll share the address here when it’s ready, for those who might be interested.

But in the meantime, seriously: friends and cousins, back yourselves up.

On Hiatus

Hey there.

Been a while, hasn’t it? Like a LOOOOONG while. Maybe even a year or two. I’d like to thank all those that have left me messages in my Tumblr and have enjoyed my art over the years. You guys and gals are super awesome and I love each and every one of you. Sadly, the news I carry today isn’t too great: I’m taking a hiatus from art.

Art has undoubtedly been apart of my life for as long as could carry a pencil. I have watched my improvement over the years and it astounds me at how far I’ve come. But sadly, in the recent years, my passion for art has slowly dwindled. It been a bit of everything: lack of passion, inspiration and Real Life taking over and demanding my free time and my favourite topic, my depression I continue to battle with. Art has always been my go-to when I was down and needed a distraction. Sadly, it’s just… stopped. Art doesn’t excite me like it used to, art was my driving force for wanting to improve and make a future of it, and the fact that I can’t even force myself to hold my tablet pen and just GO devastates me. I can’t even draw an head before I bawl into tears and delete it.

So, I think the best course for my mental health/to stop myself from just completely burning out is to take a hiatus. Take a break and come back to it when I’m in a better state of mind.

I dunno when that is. But I just wanted to say thank you to all that supported me.

During the last few months of 2017, I thought I had overcome my slump, but I know now I was lying to myself. So I am gonna take care of me and come back to art when I’m #leianart again.
